2023 Finals Playoffs - Some amazing things !

As of right now, the 2023 Finals has 6 games before the regular season is OVER ! I don't know how many of you have been following it but some AMAZING standings are revealed.

East Division leader is DodgerFan Always and barring being swept in his last 6 games, should win his division. Oddly enough, he is Minus 83 in run diff. Haven't seen a division winner with that kind of reverse differential before.

Central Division leader is sjudd with a plus 92. He will clinch the Central with the SECOND Highest run differential.

West Division leader is former Barnstormers Champion cristano1 with a plus 79, followed closely by another former Barnstormers Champion BruceF who with only a 83-73 record will clinch the Wildcard but oddly enough, has the best differential with a plus 132 !

Clearly some oddities on how the Finals has all wound up. Don't you agree ?

On the sidelines and not moving on to the playoffs will be some more Former Champions labratory and andycummings65.

DodgerFan Always and sjudd have both taken a 2-0 lead in the Finals. DodgerFan Always winning on the road and sjudd taking the wins in front of his home crowd. In a surprise twist, both teams who are DOWN 0-2 are both former Champions cristano1 and BruceF !

But as millions have said, it aint over until it's over !

In 6 at bats, Dan Uggla (huh ?) $3.05 Mil ? smashed 2 out of the park for sjudd. But, he also has 2 starters injured. Edgardo Alphonso and Dusty Baker. Uggla knows this and is picking up the pace. (C) Dick Brown $1.85 also hit one out and George Foster hit 2 doubles.

DodgerFan Always was assisted by Irv Hall ($.80) thats point 80 who has gone 5 for 9 in the series. Judy (?) Johnson and Honus Wagner slugging .667.

cristano1 was let down by Juan Marichal who got poked for 2 homers and 13 hits while Cy Young gave up 10 hits and 1 out of the park. cristano1 has 3 players on the injured list! So far, his team is only batting .175 while his opponent is batting .303

On the BruceF side of the field, Pud Galvin ($7.62) allowed 3 belts out of the park in his loss. BruceF's team is batting .203 while his opponent put up .297 numbers.

The chase for the title continues !

The brooms were out at Griffith Stadium as Jim Palmer shut out cristano1's squad and catapulted DodgerFan Always squad into the Finals. In the other semifinal, BruceF mounted a comeback to win games 3 and 4 to tie up his series against sjudd. But last night, Tim Keefe tossed a 2 hitter to give sjudd a 3-2 lead in the series. Game 6 tonight ! Pud Galvin up against Pink Hawley.

Pud Galvin came through in the clutch and tossed a 4-hit shutout against sjudd's squad forcing a game 7 in that SemiFinal.

With Dodgerfan Always waiting in the wings to take on the Game 7 winner, Minute Maid Park anxiously awaits tonights matchup between BruceF's DAVE MCNALLY against sjudds lefty killer STEVE TRACHSEL. The last time these two pitchers faced each other in Game 3, McNally got the shutout while Trachsel got rocked for 10 hits and 7 runs. McNally is stong against leftys, but sjudds squad is 100% righties.

But, different stadium different night. It's all on the line for former Champion BruceF and #3 Barnstormers point getter sjudd. After tonight, the series shifts to the World Series for Barnstormers 2023 !

It will be a night to remember !

BruceF lost his bid to repeat as Champion as sjudd squeezed out a 5-2 win in the exciting Game 7.

The World Series is now SET - Dodgerfan Always (Jim Histand) up against sjudd (Sean Judd).

sjudd has a 3-2 lead in the Finals. He can wrap up the Championship in 1 of his next two games on his home turf. Dodgerfan Always rallied last night and squeaked out a 6-5 victory to keep alive in the series. !

Congrats to sjudd (Sean Judd) who bested Dodgerfan Always (Jim Histand) in Game 7 of the Barnstormers Finals by a score of 8-2. Dodgerfan Always finished in 89th place during the 6 events and was making a bid to be the second in a row NON Top 9 player to be crowned Champion. sjudd finished 3rd in the overall point totals.

SOM will be notified to get the awarding of prizes started as soon as possible. 4 TIX to an MLB game for Sean and 2 TIX for Jim. I will also push for snack bar concessions as part of the package. Traditionally, these are HIGH END seats, as we expect them to be. Keep that in mind gentlemen when you select your seats. $300 max for the Champion and $150 max for the Runner-Up.

All finalists should have already received the Windows game and activation codes in their SOM account. Also, the Final 4 will also get to select new cards to be added to the ATG game. 5 for the winner, 3 to the runner-up and 1 each to the 3rd and 4th place playoff finishers.
