I've had a similar experience and had emailed support. The reply was to the effect of your conclusion - ballpark HR's aren't tracked 100% accurately.

Ugh! Good to know because this is something I have (tried to have) used in determining cards.

This is regrettable and something that would seem to be a straightforward fix.

Also, you ever notice that some of the mystery year cards are different then cards in the original set?

Only example I can think of are wockenfuss 82 mystery vs wockenfuss 82 season are dramatically different.
cant figure out to post the cards so you have to look up the cards on 80s mystery vs 1982 season and compare

I have been away for awhile and now back in the game.

In my 60's Mystery League, I just had Reggie Smith injured for 4 games with a groundout vs. LHP

Because he was injured for 4 games, his 1967, 1968, and 1971 cards are eliminated.
The 1969 card is the only one with a go+inj vs. LHP

His 1969 card has a .309 ba and a .895 ops
So after 17 games he has a .212 ba and a .740 ops, just having some bad luck and will turn it around soon?

I'm pretty sure I have this correct, but wanted to make sure I haven't missed something.

thanks,

If you have a big skew in rolls, will that explain a player's hot or cold performance?

Example: I have Duke Snider in the 60's mystery tournament and he is hitting just .182 with a .681 ops
Through 14 games, I noticed he has 35 rolls for the pitcher card and only 16 for his card. I think this must explain his cold performance because an injury revealed he has one of his two best cards, an average OPS of about .880 between them.

Definitely keep Snider. One of the biggest errors I see made by managers is when they cut a player for poor performance when the player either has no bad years or it was proven they have a good year.

Is 6 games to early to bail on 1970's George Brett if he is 4 for 25, no extra base hits, and 17-10 advantage in Rolls?
