Willie McCovey and others

PostTue Aug 28, 2012 7:54 pm

Veteran managers,
What has been your experience with Big Mc? He looks like a great bargain, but does he get hurt for the majority of the season?
Also, in waiver wire mode right now. DH in effect. I like my outfield with Mays, Singelton, Hendrick and LeFlore, but I feel like my roster lacks a big gun. Would you drop Mays and Hendrick to pick up Reggie Jackson?
I appreciate the advise.

I love McCovey and seem to have hit on his best season frequently. I would take him, a great value.

Mays on the other hand always seems to be hurt. I like Reggie over him, but who would be your CF? Leflore?

Interesting. You hit on something I was not aware of. And this may be a really stupid question. The players are set up to have one of the seasons listed, not the average of the seasons combined?

correct. you get one of the 5 years. there are some ways to guestimate which year you have. look through the discussion boards - there are some good descriptions of stuff like injury reveals (which help pin point) what year you have. If you don't find them, I'll try to describe it for you.
