2021 Tour Plan

PostMon May 17, 2021 9:37 am

Yes...we are behind the usual schedule. Work has been crazy busy and life has been as well. My plan is to set a schedule Tuesday (now that I have my taxes are done) and get the info to strat(they have confirmed same prizes as last year). I am going to lean even more heavily than normal on others to help out......and yes I realize that j-pav, jeep, palmtana and others have helped tremendously in the past(carried me).

I hope to pass the torch to someone who will do a much better job than me either during this tour or for the next one. Anyone interested in any level of involvement towards that end send me a message.

The sign up list is barely 50. At this time last year we had 140 players. It may be prudent, if not necessary, to revise the parameters. Will assist as best I can.

Plan is going to be posted shortly. I have altered the plan for the semifinals and finals to make them both three round nonserpentine drafts. I read the comments again and am hoping that fits with what people want. If there is a major revolt against that in the next few days I will consider ditching and going back to last years plan

I will get the info to Strat when I get to work. I think some were waiting to see rules and some are unaware until strat posts the advertisement so am expecting the numbers to rise quickly. Schedule puts us only a week behind last year just compressed a bit

Can I suggest that one of the reasons for the lack of sign-ups this year may be lack of advertising. Last year, there was a banner at the top of every strat page advertising the players championship. There has been no such banner this year.

My preference would be for a full 5-team regular season. If we are running behind schedule, there is no reason why the seasons cannot overlap each other a little (at least until the semis).

I agree with Steve on both accounts. Not sure why SOM is not promoting this as of yet.

The consensus was that both the Semis and Finals should be consistent (previously there was a Finals player draft, but no Semis players draft). So I assume it's all good.
