I have had 16 2005 teams.
Most have finished under .500
I have made 4 playoffs, all 4 of those teams have made it to the finals.
3 have one championships.
Is that a good run or mediocre?
(2 100 million championships and 1 80 million)
Wondering if I can play with the vets.

Not sure what the official cut-off point for being a "vet" is Vrabek, but after 16 teams and 3 rings, you've certainly lost your "rookie" status.

As for your success, well the odds of making the playoffs are 1 in 3, so you're a bit below the curve there. However the odds of winning a ring are 1 in 12, so you're way above the curve there.

By and large, there isn't that much difference between the "vet" leagues and the autodrafts. Major differences are probably: You won't see mis-allocation of resources on bench players; No "dumping" and incurring of the huge salary hits; Teams are comprised of players who are good fits for their parks and match-up well vs. divisional foes; There are some extremely good managers who just don't make mistakes!

If you haven't signed up in a "vet" league yet, don't worry about it. Overall, it's really a great bunch of guys in this community and they'll be happy to have you.

See ya in a league soon?

i think success should be measured in championships or at least in getting to the finals i am on my way to my 3rd playoff experience out of 6 trys and 3rd out of last 4th but i havent won a series yet and if I dont get out of the first round again i will consider it another failure

vrabek - think of it this way, if your real home team, let's just for the sake of saying is the one, the only, the great Cardinals, winners of 205 games during the regular season the past two years, played .600 baseball during the regular season, and then lost in the first round. Would this be ok with you? Or would you rather see .500 baseball and a trip to the series?

I would rather win rings. Anyday. You had 25% finals trips and 19% championships. Now, try to figure out why some of your teams go below .500 and fix that. That you can do. Good luck and that's 6 free teams you got with those rings so come spend one on Woody's Saturday Nite Frenzy.
