Standards for Hit and Run Rating

Guys, I was curious and checked every hitter down to the 3 million dollar range and not a single hitter had an "A" rating for hit and run. (yes I have too much time on my hands) What gives? Who sets the standard for this and where would strat be able to figure it out? SOMEBODY has got to be an A.

Nobody does. It's because if certain situations occur such as infield in and holding the runner on 1B I think, a B becomes an A.

PBTR is 100% correct.

The best H&R rating on any card is B. Situations where runners are held on, or the infield is playing in may result in the rating going up 1 letter. Thus a C turns into a B and a B turns into an A.

I do not have my super-advanced charts handy as I did not unpack them yet when I moved my desk, but I'm sure somebody else can provide another confirmation.

Exactly...INF in or a runner held, higher letter applies, assuming the result comes off the hitter's card (1-3).

If off the pitcher's card (4-6), the result stands as read...except if there's a K, BB, Single or Double, then you read the Pitching Hit and Run adjustments, which simply treat As and Bs in the same column...

So there are no "natural" As except as dictated by defensive situation if off the hitter's chart, and if off the pitcher's card an A or B is treated identically.
