Juan Berenguar is one of them.

Jeff Reardon and his 35 saves for .70 mil struck me as a bargain.

Both those pitchers will be mediocre or bad most of the time, just lke similar in other sets. They both have serious flaws, which is why they are so cheap.

Personally, I think Tommy John is 1 million under priced.

I will echo the Tommy John setiment.

Barry Larkin looks like more than a $2 million card, but maybe I am missing some of his flaws, or maybe its just that high quality middle infielders are in short supply. Dickie Thon also seems cheap at $1.3 mill, even with a 2 injury rating. But seeing their cards makes me more motivated not to go cheap at ss.

I've only drafted my first team and not yet played, but in a hitters park, isn't Kingman probably a deal at .66 ? I'm expecting to put him in the 7 or maybe 8 spot and get 85+ rbi.

I will comment on Dave Kingman.

I think you are dead on that he is not a budget buster. But his salary seems in-line with similar players.

The value system appears to give all low OBP, no D players low salary numbers. After all, you only get one DH, which do you choose?

If you like Dave Kingman at 0.66, how about George Foster at 0.68? Both hit HRs 1:18 at bats, Foster has slight better average, so he is less of a lost cause when he doesn't put one out of the park.

Other players with no-D, horrible BA and high HR rates:
Graig Nettles 0.62 (actually not a total loss at 3b, but a 3R and not a very good option vrs lefties)
Franklin Stubbs at 1.00
Gorman Thomas at 0.58 (0.187 BA, 0.316 OBP, he walks as often as he hits).

I think if you like the low BA, high HR players, Kingman is not neccesarily the best value in that group. But again, if you want one of those players on your roster, the group offers excellent value (at the very least, a budget friendly salary). I might go with Graig Nettles, but pair him with a platoon mate. Just a free opinion, take its value for whats it cost

I agree with the Larkin and Thon comments, I have them both at SS. Also, Otis Nixon, with a .352 OBP and 2 range is a deal at $1.19. Also Eddie Murray, for $5.48, you get a .396 OBP.

Wegman, He's 3-0 for me with an ERA of 2.27 through three starts. It's not many games, but it's a bargin. Also he pitches on 3 days rest.
