I think you're gonna see a lot of RHP's and guys like Agee and Ennis are gonna struggle a little bit.

I think that i will see quite a few right handers, but ennis and agee were (and are!) the best available after a brutal frenzy!! So, I just went with the philosophy "if you can't get who you want, get the best that's left"!

Your numbers:

OBP vs RH 0.415
SLG vs RH 0.464
OPS vs RH 0.879
HR Rate vs RH 4.2
BPHR vs RH 53
OBP vs LH 0.431
SLG vs LH 0.509
OPS vs LH 0.940
HR Rate vs LH 5.2
BPHR vs LH 55

Covington, Cepeda or McCovey will out hit Selkirk at Baker.

Thanks for the #'s sschu.....

McCovey is the only one available of the 3, and is not a very good fielder in lf.....

The reason I picked up selkirk is so I would have SOMEONE who could lead off....McCoskey is available, was thinking of dropping ennis, picking him up to lead off, then maybe grab McCovey in lf? What do you think?

Small error, here are revised base numbers:

OBP vs RH 0.415
SLG vs RH 0.464
OPS vs RH 0.879
HR Rate vs RH 4.2
BPHR vs RH 53
OBP vs LH 0.414
SLG vs LH 0.498
OPS vs LH 0.913
HR Rate vs LH 5.4
BPHR vs LH 58

With McCovey/Selkirk

OBP vs RH 0.416
SLG vs RH 0.484
OPS vs RH 0.899
HR Rate vs RH 5.2
BPHR vs RH 55
OBP vs LH 0.402
SLG vs LH 0.431
OPS vs LH 0.832
HR Rate vs LH 5.0
BPHR vs LH 56

With Ennis/McCovey

OBP vs RH 0.399
SLG vs RH 0.498
OPS vs RH 0.897
HR Rate vs RH 5.2
BPHR vs RH 54
OBP vs LH 0.392
SLG vs LH 0.487
OPS vs LH 0.879
HR Rate vs LH 5.6
BPHR vs LH 58

It seems you are a bit too low in any case. Not sure what your pitching looks like. Best combo seems to be Ennis/McCovey, pick up a Clines type to hit vs LH in pitchers parks.

Best of luck, sschu

I only face 3 lefties in division....so i am going to drop ennis, add mccovey, and get bevaqua to cover for McCovey in pitchers parks (have 2 in division) vs lefties...

what do you think?? If all things were equal, ennis is the man, but with my situation, I need selkirk's OBP at the top of the lineup IMO..but I have been wrong MANY times before!!!

Beware Selkirk. He's not going to hit any doubles, may hit for a lower average than advertised, and is likely to disappoint. His card adds up to good numbers but I haven't had much luck.

I agree that the only real place for him in the lineup is leadoff, I'd much rather have Keller...

I agree about OBP, it's the mistake I always make with Bomber teams and although the #s are very important, OBP rules. I've even used guys like Speaker in a bomber park, just to make sure I had two or three studs at the top of the lineup to set the table. Jack Clark is one of my favorites, despite the injury, he hits into no DPs and always rakes at your park.

Speaking of which, to me Foxx hits #2 in any lineup. Of course he's good enough to hit cleanup, but check out his gbAs too...
