[quote:ef616c631b="Jimmy_C"]My team is resting up tonight while the coaching staff watches the 5th and deciding game between Panzer and Jablowmi on ESPN.

Wondering if they'll go extra innings and give the winners relief staff a lot of work... :D[/quote:ef616c631b]

scotty sandersen (1-6) is trying to double his regular season win total by winning another playoff game tonight. had to start him game 1 b/c i needed the ace of the staff, jerry reuss, to pitch in game 162. should be fun!

I was just one lucky manager on this go-around Semper. That series could have gone either way.

Hey...remember this message I sent out after the draft...?

[quote:eca636df9a]Stratzillas are in danger of extinction after a very poor showing in the auto-draft. You can keep these kind cuddly creatures from becoming Stratzillasauruses by trading them a lefty power bat (or 2)...[/quote:eca636df9a]

I had a bad case of crappydraftitis (as usual), and got pretty lucky somewhere along the way. Bud Black (16-4) and Luis Leal (14-2) were a big part of that luck...

Jimmy, the stratzillas really took off in the second half of the season, so it doesn't surprise me that you're going deep in the playoffs...good job! Not sure which card you had for Luis Leal though! A 2.30 ERA is sick.

Whew...almost lost to Scott Sanderson TWICE.
Late comeback saves me. Great series Jablowmi.
Good luck to Jimmy in the finals. Should be a great one.

Congrats to Panzer Ace for winning a tough series from a hard hitting Jablowmi team.

In WWII the Desert Fox General Edwin Rommell would secure large mats to the back of his 2 ton trucks and halftracks and any other vehicle he had, and have them drive around the desert to kick up huge dust clouds. The idea was that it would appear to the enemy in the distance that a very large task force of tanks were approaching. This tactic would throw fear into the hearts of the enemy...

No fear here...I see just one Panzer approaching...how tough can it be??

Best of luck to you in the finals Panzer Ace.

If I were you Jimmy I'd rather play against EDWIN Rommel than Panzer ace. Now Erwin Rommel might be a different story. :P

Well...woke up this morning to find my team 1/2 way under a set of steel tank treads. This may end up not being the longest championship series ever played.

Championship Series...

Postby Jimmy_C » Sat Aug 19, 2006 9:56 am

After 4 games in the championship series, some of the stats that stand out are:

Panzer's team has outscored mine a very modest 15-13.
Panzer's team has out homered mine 8-1 (with that well-known slugger Aguayo getting 2 of them).
Panzer's team has mine under his treads 3 games to 1

It sucks to be Jimmy_C in this series...
