I actually stretched the truth with the every inning line, as he missed four full games and may have missed parts of a couple of others, but he did start 158 games in CF with no defensive replacement. After posting my team that rallied to win the championship after picking up Clark to play CF at game 120, I committed to try him for a full season in CF with no defensive replacement and to stick with it regardless of the results. This was difficult, as I was only 71-70 at game 141 and had been worse, with Clark the obvious sore thumb on a struggling team. I stayed the course, however, and was rewarded with a 16-5 stretch run, which propelled my team into the #1 seed. I am now two for two with Clark in CF. You at least have to admit playing Clark is a viable, if not guaranteed successful strategy option, especially in a hitting park. He is cheap, freeing up $$$ for other sluggers and he capably fills the lead off spot in the batting order. He also plays a position where there is a noticable talent shortage in slugging parks. Add to that that he is also pretty easy to get and it's a "no brainer". Next up, Johnny P at SS.
