The link to your team doesn't work.

Go to the statistics page...pull up your team from there...and the copy and paste. :D

Welcome to your new addiction! :D

Fantasy MVP

Postby JohnnyBlazers » Wed Oct 19, 2005 1:34 pm

the MVP should be someone who you drafted a & A. Jones nd you got a ot more than what you bargained for. A-Rod, Pujols are 1st round picks every year, so it should be no surprise the way they perform. I'd pick two MVPS= D. Lee for the 1st half, A. Jones for the 2nd Half. Most disappointing (Vlad Guerrero - you could have gotten those numbers much later in a draft. Tejeda - great numbers for a SS, yet he didn;t come even close to 2004 numbers)

First, welcome to ATG! It can be tough at first, but stick with it. You will get a lot of good advice fom the community.

Your team, IMO, is going to struggle a bit. Your startig pitching gives up too many HRs for your park, and Gooden is way overpriced. You can probably get bye with it but if yu can swing a trade or two it would help. Your hitting is very vulnerable to LHP (Garvey, Morgan, Brett, and Smith). Smith is usually undrafted. You have some good value in your bullpen, but you need another 1.0M+ type. Gossage will tire towards the end. Overall though, not a bad first team. Good Luck!

this game appears a bit difficult but I hope to catch on and eventually be competitive. I figured I was short on LH hitters and i'll try to make a trade for a good one somewhere down the line. I was tempted to drop Reggie Smith before the season but I saw his OBP and his defensive rating at RF (not too many better options left after the draft) and figured it's better to keep him.

The glaring thing that sticks out to me is injuries . You've go no backups for your IFers and they will get hurt ...all except Garvey . Injuries go like this : 600 plate appearances to 680 3 game injury . Over 680 - No injury or just rest of game , but rare. Under 600 p.a. possible 15 game injury . Plate appearances = at bats + walks . Brett , Bowa, Morgan all get hurt and no backups for them . Pitching in Riverfront is not easy to get , its a hitters park and hitter thrive there .

Welcome to your new addiction and remember no matter how good or bad a team plays , have fun and enjoy . There's loads of help on the boards ...just ask .
