McCovey is the only one of those I've used, he'll rock from one side.

Rosen could be an option, if you don't mind the D....better OBP than all of those except maybe Boog. Powell seems to walk a lot and be a bit light on power.

Good luck.

Here are your new numbers with York and Gordon:

OBP vs RH 0.406
SLG vs RH 0.494
OPS vs RH 0.900
HR Rate vs RH 6.0
BPHR vs RH 55
OBP vs LH 0.424
SLG vs LH 0.528
OPS vs LH 0.952
HR Rate vs LH 5.1
BPHR vs LH 56

Both Keller and Morgan were a waste IMHO. You need 7 sluggers to make this work, Morgan seems over priced for high OB guy on sluggers teams. I would rather take Keller & Gordon and the $$ than Morgan & Keller. Keller or Cleon are both good choices for this role.

You should do better against LHs, hopefully the Mick can carry you vs RHs.

Best of luck, sschu

Well, if Mick can't, no one can!

Thanks sschu....and ya know, when a guy is doing THAT lousy 90 games in, not much chance he is gonna turn it around....same with Murray. York is tough, and should be an improvement there...

thanks again to all for your input! :)

Hey Sschu, how did you work out the numbers? Are they from the basic card chances or the season stats? Forgive me if this sounds stupid but I haven't seen stuff like this on other threds.

I hate joe gordon, I like morgan and murray. Too late now but I have had murray on 3 championship teams. I do mostly bomber teams and have won 4 championships in my last 9 teams. I am not trying to brag because a drought is sure to come. It is just that I hear a lot of bad advice given in regards to hitting teams. Because honestly there are a lot of people who do not know how to win that way. I loved the team you posted I think you could have tweaked your lineup and waited out those hitters. Good hitters will always come around if you have the patience. By the way there is no way that morgan and keller were a waste. A hitting team is useless if it does not have tablesetters, and they are 2 of the best. My advice for the future is patience and do not be to quick to listen to the opinions of others. But that is just my opinion.

Morgan sometimes will hit .230 for you, especially if you face a bunch of LHP. But those walks and his defense really make his an excellent value, IMHO.

But more than anything that's just an awful lot of salary to move. More often than not this is a recipie for disaster.
