Turk Lown: My 1st time trying him...HELP!

I wanted to put together the best offense I could for Griffith. Lown was the best I could afford with the cash left. Never used him before...

Good and horrific experiences are welcomed...Thanks! :)

The Mad Turk's Actuals

Postby Maxie Minoso » Sun Oct 23, 2005 9:13 am

Turk "I didn't get Ron Taylor in my draft" Lown in extreme pitchers parks like Griffith (80M no DH leagues only):
IP - 11218.5
ERA- 4.19
WHIP - 1.43

For comparison, in EP parks:
Ron Taylor
IP - 12798.1
ERA - 3.92
WHIP - 1.34

Jerry Fosnow:
IP- 11272.6
ERA- 4.04
WHIP - 1.38

All are better overall than the higher priced Murphy, J. Hughes, and Caudill.

All will break our heart during the season.

5 seasons with Lown in Griffith or Forbes:
innings ERA Whip
115.1 6.09 1.73
131.1 3.02 1.44
156.2 3.85 1.46
106.2 3.71 1.59
98.1 3.11 1.61

And a total of 29 wins and 31 losses in those 5 seasons

Agree with PBTR, that's a great Griffith pen to begin with, don't worry about Turk.
