I hate divisions like this...

This is why it's not always fair to judge people by the type of leagues they play in, some of these autoleagues are as tough or more tough than "tour" leagues.

I'm in that same league with OT, bkeat and a bunch of other heavy hitters (I'm certainly the least accomplished of the managers). Looking at my team, at least on paper, I don't think it's a bad one -- especially for a small-ball league. Went 0-3 to start, but was playing one of the few bomber teams in a sluggers' park, so that's to be expected. Of course, if I get creamed in this league, at least maybe I can learn something which will help me the next time.

agreed PBTR,.....when guys like you and petro nev grindi gdhka frank bailey OT etc etc etc play msotly auto league...or a lot of auto leagues.... when you join randomly no telling HOW stiff the competition is going to be ... which was my point above. Lots of guys I left out too.... take too long to lsit them all... so I usually defend the auto leagues... but a lot of guys still say....yea but you will still ahve 3 or 4 poor or rookie managers..... thing is ...when you get a bunch of the great managers together in one league ... 3 or 4 teams ARE going to lose ... because those good managers nabbed the best players. The longer ATG goes on the tougher those auto leagues become too....

i can go one better though .... a 69 league ... i am 41-25 (.621) and in THIRD in my division. The 3 best records in the league are all in my division .... the 2 teams in front of me are 42-24.

In the league Mo speaks of above, he and I are the only ringless wonders in the league.

And Mo....thanks for putting me in the "Heavy Hitters" category.....but it's my lack of pitching that keeps me down

HAL won't let me move Ruether up to the 5th spot in the lineup

Yeah, I got swept last night. So my hold on 1st place is very tenuous.

I had fallen to 4th place a while back, but have been doing well except for last night's debacle.
