Like like when Fox hit it was runners on 1 and 2nd. After words the runner on second had scored, the runner on first went to third and Fox had taken second on the throw. After that York is walked to load them up (not I doesn't show a run scoring here). The Henderson struck out. I maybe crazy but that's what it looks like to me.

That's kind of how I read it also. 1st base appears to have been open at the time of the intentional walk.

Read like first base was open to me too.

Does this mean HAL is vindicated?

No Hal WAS NOT VINDICATED!!!! I may have read the boxscore wrong but HAL had no business bringing in Demaree with Tincup, Lyle, Klinger and Dayley available!!!!!!!

I will start, by saying that I was the beneficiary of this game 5 gift

I consider myself very lucky to be going to the finals, as I was down 0-2 in a very contested series.

I do not want to sound like I am trying to slight Guido here, but HAL's gaffe goes much deeper than just this game. Demeree was used extensively in this series out of the bullpen. I will post all 5 games, in which, included an 18 inning affair....

Game #1
http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/stratomatic/atg2/playoffs/boxscore.html?group_id=18672&g_id=973

Game #2
http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/stratomatic/atg2/playoffs/boxscore.html?group_id=18672&g_id=975

Game #3
http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/stratomatic/atg2/playoffs/boxscore.html?group_id=18672&g_id=977

Game #4
http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/stratomatic/atg2/playoffs/boxscore.html?group_id=18672&g_id=979

Game #5
http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/stratomatic/atg2/playoffs/boxscore.html?group_id=18672&g_id=981

Examining the series more closey, it was a series that should be broken down and disected to see what exactly is wrong with HAL, as, something is amiss.

Please, take the time to study what exactly, went wrong with HAL.....

I can't put my finger on WHY Demaree was used at all when you consider Lyle was only used for 1/3 of an inning in the 5 games and the way I had it set up was each individual setting was as I'd had it all season Tincup -avoid lefties 2/3 innings, Lyle avoid righties 2/3 innings, Murphy-avoid lefties 1/2 innings, Dayley - avoid righties 1/2 innings., none were set to not use before 6th inning or otherwise...Tincup/Lyle R/L setup Murphy/Dayley R/L closers...like I said I just don't get what happened with Demaree and HAL>>>

First off, I'm assuming you mean Klinger instead of Murphy.

Looks kinda obvious to me.

Dayley had already pitched in all 4 games.
Tincup had pitched in gms. 2-4.
Klinger is your closer so he won't be brought in to pitch in the 7th.
Lyle is set to avoid righties so he won't be used against a righty (which he's better against anyways :? ).

HAL didn't have much choice but to pick someone else to relieve.

That's the way I see it anyways.

Please don't blame HAL when the error was made by the manager who failed to set Demaree in the rotation.

HAL does suck, but I've never seen him intentionally walk a run home.
