but close! Had a team start 0-11, and 10-26 before recovering to post 86 wins.

Playing in Polo, Baker, Polo and Dome in my division, mostly decent/average pitchers.

High-lites:

Lost 10 in a row, 6-18 overall

Osinkme - 0.00 ERA
Faber - 2.00 ERA
(You know you are in trouble when THAT occurs!)

My "Big 3 SPs"
Mogridge - 6.27 ERA
Bush - 7.27 ERA
Demaree - 6.69 ERA

.289 team OBP
Yaz - .228 vs RHs
The Mick - .170 BA and .267 OBP vs RHs

Not looking good...

Suggestions?

Thanks for your help, sschu

It'll get better but I think you'll still struggle to break .500. Mainly because all your money is tied up in 4 big bats, but with no OBP in front or behind them...

sschu,

What? Are you trying to break my crummy reverse concept team's record for futility???

Seriously ... as the saying goes, when hitting teams hit, you win, when they don't, you're dead.

I think you'll turn it around, your pitching is doing o.k., you're just not scoring enough runs for a slugging team. 4.29 runs per game doesn't cut it. Experience tells me you need to be around 6 per game to win consistently.

Give 'em a little more time before you panic.

Thanks for the encouragement, much appreciated. Some of this is almost funny!

I try not to panic, learned the hard way not to drop until after game 100, even if I am lousy! Even then tweaks is the best approach. Not sure why I kept Yaz though, he is almost ALWAYS a disappointment for me.

Here's why Scott .......

When he's good, he can be real good! Plus you get solid defense. I still like him in a hitters park.
