My first 9 games of the season were on the road! Nice schedule making after coming off a 68 game season! However, my team is 5-4!
That matches my road wins of all last year. We're heading home tonight to play in front of our home crowd! I don't know if the player's wives, ball park staff, a bat boy, and a couple lost tourists constitutes a "crowd", but we're glad to play our first game in friendly territory.

This 9 game homestand may tell me if my team is competitive this year. An 0-9 homestand would certainly not be in our best interest!

[quote:82fb30981f]Btw, if any of you believe that * SP cannot go down for more than 3 games ... well apparently they can.

AT -- I lost Sabathia for 15 games in the GBBR league right in the first series.

Now THAT really sucked. :P

It's funny how you don't publish any bad press about your team AT

Guess you didn't want anyone to know you got swept at home last night...

Someone explain this!!!!!!!!!

Postby KEVINEHLE » Mon Nov 20, 2006 10:07 am

My team plays in a neutral Metrodome.

The following players have a combined salary of $38M.

Barajas- .150 avg.
Derek Lee- .197 avg.
Counsell- .127 avg.
Matsui- .182 avg.
Carlos Lee- .173 avg.
Sizemore- .227 avg.
Wilkerson- .164 avg.

Cabrera is only player playing anywhere near normal.

Team batting average is .202 and OBP is .260 and Slug Pcg. is .326!!!!

These are stats for a team with .50M hitters on it!!
