New league forming: no cap

[/quote]Walker at the 12th spot might also be surprising, but don't forget that, in non-cap leagues, injuries do not affect teams in a same way as in a cap leagues. You will have plenty of money to make a roster change and buy yourself a 4M right fielder for the time Walker will be injured---take note, though, that, being limited to 25 players, having a substantial number of injury-prone [quote:047ab66d2c]

don't the star tournaments play a limited number of games as well?

like 27 or 30 per weekend?[/quote:047ab66d2c]

Good, so the draft will be determined by tonight's lotto pick 3 results (the lower the number, the better the draft position.

The links above, that I reproduce here:

http://www.startournaments.com/draft_guide/draft_guide.htm

http://www.startournaments.com/star_2005/d_anal/aps.htm

are certainly helpful, but be aware that there were made for non-dh leagues, and that some players are not in the list. I will provide a list of those players later in the evening. Also consider that for these leagues, the *SP is not in application, but this shouldn't have a big impact in your drafting strategies as having the *SP is less critical in non-cap leagues where you will have plenty of money to buy a fifth SP if needed. For those who wonder, I've played in a 200M league once, and the teams were using between 130M to 150M for their teams, giving you a 30M to 50M free to play with.

We will monitor the draft on www.penngray.com/draft

I will set up a league as soon as we know the drafting order.

OK, just so I get this right, you can draft a *SP, but cannot pitch him every 4 games? Just want to be sure I understand...a bit slow...

Sorry for my bad english. OUR league does have *SP, but consider that the value attached to *SP is less critical than in cap leagues because you can be confident to find a 5th SP worth around 2M.

In other words, you will not find a 5th SP as good as RJ, making him almost as valuable in our league than in cap-leagues, but you can be pretty confident to find a 5th SP as valuable as Westbrook.
