2006 Ballpark Success Rates - now available

Postby Play By The Rules » Tue Feb 20, 2007 9:03 pm

There will be no more extreme right or left parks this year. Nothing with more than a +3 differential in BPHR from one side to another. Ought to change strategies a lot.

Got a team in the playoffs now but not going to jinx it.

Hmm,

Busch has the lowest winning %........I wonder if that is because I tend to play there quite a bit.

Only one of my 6 Busch teams went to the playoffs.

Combined record of 417-441 (one team is still playing)

That actually is slightly above the .479 winning%,

Mine is .486

Was the difference in winning percentages statistically significant or could the differences be explained by chance randomness?!

Any chance of the same type of ballpark analysis for ATGIII?

One should aslo consider that most vets typically prefer and play in unbalanced parks (either R/L or HR/No HR) which certainly is another dependency on the data.

The choice of ballpark is not an independent variable.
