sluggishness on SOM site...

Postby nycalderon » Wed Nov 23, 2005 5:55 pm

Was wondering if anybody had thoughts about persistent and annoying sluggishness I have been having, not only on message boards/PMs, but also on the strat site in general. It's gotten real bad over the last few days. Some pages need to be clicked numerous times to get to load... pages occasionally come up with wrong sized text and need to be refreshed numerous times to get them right, and player cards are often taking 30 seconds or more to open (and also pop up with wrong sized text).

It's pretty damn annoying and I'm finding it hard to manage my teams. I know some others are not having these problems. But is anybody else???? My computer seems to be free of viruses and spyware so I'm wondering if I have a setting that is off or a conflict. The rest of the internet seems fine so I'm wondering what is the deal here...

any suggestions will be appreciated.

Rich,

I've been on broadband and dial-up and haven't noticed a problem on either. Maybe it's your machine or your connection.

What service are you using? I'm in NY too (I assume you are by your name) and use Cablevision Optimum Online. No problems with the TSN sites at all. I know from experience that Time Warner sucks, though.

I have noticed the same thing for about the last week. Especially when you click on a player to showq stats.

I don't seem to be having any issues with the site.
