RESPONSE:

1) How to join: a) I can enter your name as soon as you confirm and provide a State for Lottery. b) for this and future use you can highlight the list and go to the top of your screen and click edit then click copy. Then go hit reply and move your cursor to the box and click paste after clicking edit. Enter your name as #8 with state abbreviation.

2) Lottery will be run the night following the league filling.

3) Draft of Franchises will be based on High Lottery Results to Low. See the beginning of the thread for the number of protected players.

4) 2nd round will be from the last manager to the 1st and will involve picking a Franchise but only 5 players will be protected. After each 2nd round pick manager shall pick a ballpark.

5) After 2nd rd. is completed a 3rd rd. will begin with the same manager that began rd. 2 with picking 0 to 3 Free Agents all at once.

6) Using Serpentine style for Rd. 4 pick 0 to 2 players.

7) Once draft is completed all managers will enter their teams autodraft and once draft is run that night there will be a frenzy where remaining Free agents can be picked up.

8) League will use standard division format.

East - 1,4,7,10
Central 2,5,8,11
West 3,6,9,12

9) Trading will be allowed

10) As a manager you should simply watch this thread for information as to when the league is filled and when draft is run. You can also communicate with myself or other managers who are entered.

I would also advise checking Page 2 of this Message Board where you can find other COMBO LEAGUES and you can follow the same draft process.

I also recommend for rookies Baseballreference.com where you can study 1969 as a season.

Mike,

Bob's post was too scary. Here's the simple version.
1. Sign up with a state. When the league is full, we will use the states PICK3 lotto results to determine draft order.
2. Then, in the first round of the draft, each manager picks one 1969 team (Orioles would be a good one) and protects between 15 and 20 players from that team.
3. Round 2 is the reverse order and each manager picks a second team and protects only 5 players from that team. Also, each manager picks a ball park.
4. Round 3 is the same order as Round 2, and each manager picks up to 3 free agents from the pool of unprotected players.
5. Round 4 is the same order as Round 1 and each manager picks up to 2 free agents from the pool of unprotected players.
6. Total salary cap is 100 mil, and total protected roster is 25 players
7. Play season.

The bottom line. Sign up and list a state that has a PICK3 lotto (practically every state has one). We'll walk you through the rest.

Two rules questions:

(1) Is there still a DH?

(2) Unique stadiums: it can be any stadium, correct? In other words, the stadium does not have to be from any specific team?

Thanks,
Bob

Yes there is a DH.

Yes as you finish your RD 2 Franchise Pick ( Protect 5 players) you then pick any stadium which hasn't been chosen.
