145 Complete Games...

I learned this one from the Himrod Hammers. Of course I'd never seen his teams spend SOO much on pitching, but as you can see I certainly paid the price on offense...

Yes, you set your five .50m RP/SP in the rotation, and then carefully set your per game starters only for that day (I had two or three occasions where I just barely got my correct SPs in at 10PM...)

Since HAL thinks your .50m scrubs are your real rotation, if he determines you need relief (not that often, obviously) he will use the one remaining non-* SP that has a five day break between starting (there's always someone.) The trick for me was choosing a black hole of a park so that this situation wouldn't come up often.

As someone earlier mentioned, I'm not sure what kind of "bargain" I got doing this, but I was good enough to squeek by and win my division, I'm sure I'll lose in the playoffs since Honus got injured in game 162 for the whole Semis.

And thanks to my big mouth, I can just about NEVER get Williard anymore. I actually liked him in a situation like this as a STARTER, with one of the good cheap backups (Gonzalez, Steinbach, etc.) I always was able to get over half the ABs from him.

But that's another subject. PS I like Mauer and Pratt in 2005.
