My first 69' team was horrible with a couple of bright spots. Maury Wills was great as was Cezar Tovar. Tovar lead the league with 79 steals, has anyone out there had more steals than that?? Wills finished with 62 I think, they were an awesome 1-2 punch at the top of the order. Just didn't have much to follow.

I think 79 steals is a lot for the '69 set. There aren't a lot of good base stealers in the set. In my only completed season the leader had around 50 (I think it was Tovar). Check the records once they are posted......

He wasn't on my team, but that team did make the playoffs. Going on now, in the first two games he is 2-4 in SB/Atts.

From the 5 completed leagues I've been in the best year was from one of my players.

Lou Brock - 82

Best allaround year from those 5 leagues was Willie McCovey. Led in Ave, Runs, HRS & 2nd in RBI's.

I have Harper in a league that is about to wrap up. 73 steals in 90 attempts (that is one better than his real season, where he got 73 in 91 attempts). He is .227/.313/.336. His walks were way down, but he did hit 11 homers. Not bad considering he is only starting against righties. Unfortunately, my teams in last place.

In the 24 team league I have plenty of steals from Brock and Morgan. I'm thinking 90+ is viable for Brock.

Brock finished with 96 steals and only being caught 16 times.
