That's fine, you can ignore my request, you see what happens next. Not only that, I had announced that I would do it.

Don't quite see the surprise...

Oh, and for Glenn...

[quote:ceb99eadb5]PBTR likes to interact with others on the message board. I like to interact with others in the leagues I’m in, and then sometimes on the message board. Is one of us right or wrong, better or worse? Of course not. [/quote:ceb99eadb5]

Well I don't think I told you to stop interacting through e-mail, I just asked to be "opted out." What your saying has no pertinence to me. Now had you said "Wilkerson is underperforming and I'll accept trade offers," well then, you've got something.

You might post the same thing you did in league mail on the boards and I'm pretty sure that I would be moved to respond, telling you to ride it out and anyways not to expect much over .200 from him but a lot of "intangeables."

Nobody is right or wrong, but on the boards I can choose to read or not to read what you say (or simply to read it later), where as by league mail I am forced to read it because I'm not going to ignore any message on the chance that one may actually be important to me!

If you would like to avoid me that's fine with me, there's a billion other people around here to play with. Sorry you got so bent out of shape.

Continuing this unnecessarily, but PBTR I wanted to point out that if you were quoting me a few posts above, it wasn't my post you pasted.

To quote a great TV series, "Not that there's anything wrong with that" if you did incorrectly quote me, but my weighing in was merely a quickie while I was grazing the boards--doesn't matter to me who it was. Everybody pays their 25 or so dollars and so I don't care one way or the other.

If someone asked me to limit mail to trades only, I'd probably oblige only because if I really wanted to trade with them, I wouldn't want them to ignore me.

And anytime I say anything on these boards, tongue is firmly implanted in cheek.

Sometimes I wonder what spawns questions from some folks like "RJ is 0-4, should he be?"...but hey, yadda yadda yadda what can you do?

GL to all, and to all a GN.
Just know I play to have fun, and part of the fun is interaction with the community, and I will kiss anyone's butt just so they don't blow me off on a fair trade out of spite, not that there's anything wrong with that.

So in closing my spam, I'd like to be serious for a minute and ask for the people who were quoted as "professionals", how much do you get paid to play SOM? I didn't realize there were professional SOMOers.

Cheers

:P I PROMISE, no more responses to this goofy crap but: How many of you have seen the movie "MAN ON FIRE" ? Jaydingess refered to PBTR as a respected professional, Tersignf brings up a good question of just HOW MANY PROFESSIONAL players are there? Cannot help but reflect on Denzel Washington as he is about to do away with the fat crooked cop in Mexico, when he tells Denzel that he is a PROFESSIONAL! Denzel says he has heard that alot! Bioman brings up that playing the game is interaction, Mesqueton points out what a hassle it could be to try to interact with only certain players! I think that if playing this game takes ME to the point of being a PROFESSIONAL-----then I will know it is time for me to Quit Playing the GAME! I am most likely a long way from that point{just look at my record} but when I get there I can only hope that I will already know it!

Can't you just admit that you overreacted to my use of the word "young genius." Maybe I should have put this  next to it but they don't have those in league mail. Since you don't know me you don't know that I'm a smart ass, I suppose now you do, can't you just let it go? You don't have to like me if you don't want, but despite your procovation with the Boone deal, I'm not nearly the "enemy" you think I am. Unless that's what you want...

I interact plenty, many say too much. But I do it here... Different strokes for different folks, live and let live, and all that...

And sorry I misquoted someone or referred to the wrong poster, this whole thing is getting kind of silly and confusing if you ask me.

Speaking of Boone. it looks like I was wise to trade him away:

Former All-Star second baseman Bret Boone might have worn out his welcome at Wynn Las Vegas, according to the LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL.

Spies tell me a tipsy Boone rolled his golf cart Monday while playing on the Wynn's $500-a-round high-roller golf course. Later, he created a scene in the bar at the Wynn's Country Club Grill.

Security was called when Boone, 36, got testy with Wynn staffers after they asked him to remove his feet from the bar in an area where patrons were dining.

"Make me!" replied Boone, among other choice words. When Boone fell off his bar stool and hit the floor, friends removed him from the bar before security arrived.

Once the most prolific second baseman in the game, the three-time All-Star had big seasons at Seattle before a disastrous 2005. He hit .170 in 14 games with the Minnesota Twins.

He showed up at the General Managers' meeting last month with his hair dyed platinum, hoping to catch some attention.

Yes but even in the 2005 game he is still a stud. Nothing like his card in previous years, but he's still a "1" and even in 05 hits lefties more than acceptably with quite a bit of pop.

Doubt he'll be a one this year, though.

Sure he will. He'll be the only "1" dumb@$$ to roll his golf cart! :)
