Well 9-6 is a solid start to the season - but I hope my pitching improves before my offense cools down!

Took the high injury risk Mr. Sweeney as the center of my offense and he went down in the first series for 15 games. Amazingly, the Fireballs survive the initial set of divisional games unscathed.

Sweeney is back tonight. Here's hoping that he doesn't roll too many more 4's.

Playing Beach last night sort of reminded me of the 2002 Bull Durham Keeper leagues we were in together - except I think Beach was more likely to sweep me than vice versa. ;)

Team is playing very well so far - I was worried that my offense might not produce enough runs for my not-so-studly rotation, but they seem to be handling themselves well enough. :)

Team continues to do well - even with back to back injuries to Jose Hernandez. Pettitte has been somewhat of a disappointment but I think he'll improve as the season goes on.

Well Beach sort of paid me back, by taking 2 of 3 in my park. Interestingly enough my squad has really dominated more on the road than at home. I've won 8 of my last 12 on the road, while only 2-4 at home this week.

I don't look to have any homestands longer than 9 games, so this road success is coming in quite handy. :)

AT, you have always been the King of 2002. :D

Mr. Sweeney just went down for the 6th time in a mere 86 plate appearances. He missed 36 games in all of 2001. He has missed 37 of the first 61 games this season. Amazingly, his injuries and HRs are both on 4s. Zero HRs this year - although he has hit the ball extremely well in the 24 games in which he has played.

We are still in the divisional hunt. If Sweeney can stay healthy for one good run....

Looks like Beachs squad is doing a pretty good job of staying competitive. :)

My team continues to perform exceedingly well on the road, winning about 70% of the time, compared to 55% of the time at home.

That ought to knock you off your high horse AT :P ;)

I swept first place in the league right from you! Now of course I'll probably get swept tonight!

Man that was a cold streak I went on - thanks in part to geekors sweep. Finally won my first series in 6 nights ... hope we can string a couple more in a row and keep our grip on 1st. :)

I was wondering why I was not getting many innings from Cordero ... turns out I forgot to set my managerial settings.
