Well after a really strong start my team has definitely come back to earth. I must admit that I was not expecting my team to start off as well as it had, so it comes as no surprise that we've cooled off. I can only hope we can keep winning enough games to keep in the playoff picture, as there are still a lot of games left to be played. Would be nice to get back over .500 at home. :wink:

I'm playing the Tallahassee (lack of) Talent tonight, who are an ugly 15-42 at home (and I thought my 01 record on the road was bad!). I am 36-18 on the road, so if I do not win at least 1 game tonight I am going to be quite mad and very embarrassed! :P

and my team has taken off after beating you AT, have only lost 1 series since then, and am up 5 games over the other 2 division leaders.

Hopefully my team isn't peaking early, I still can't beleive this mismatch of sp's is leading the league in pitching! :shock: :lol:

Yeah it looks like you have a solid shot at 100 Wins. I am just hoping my team can do enough to keep the Central ... so far so good, but a 5 game lead can evaporate very quickly ...

Well my team is starting to heat up again, after a couple of weeks of .500 ball ... got a 7 game lead with 27 to go. Team is still on pace to score 1000+ runs, and we should only allow 875ish so that is pretty good.

well I spoke up too soon, 4 straight losing series has me only a couple games up on everyone, and I am down to a 6 game lead in the division!

Today is the trade/transaction deadline!

About a month ago I mentioned Hernandez, and said I expected him to improve ... and so he has. He should reach 100 RBI soon, and if he had not missed 30 games he'd be on pace for a season where he scored 120+ Runs and drove in 140.

As it is, by seasons end, I should have 7 guys with 30+ HR, and 6 with 100+ RBI. It is going to be tough determing a team MVP ... too bad the Awards link was not offered until 2003 ... would be cool to see who League MVP is.

I see Beach has dumped Sweeney - seems to have worked since he is right there in WC contention.

Looks like Beach is not content to have the WC but is pressing geekor for the West Division crown! With 15 games to go, and an 8 game lead, just need to win a couple of more series to clinch. :)

Along with this team it seems almost every team of mine just lost horribly all week. This team went from a 9 game lead to 2, my last 06 team went from WC lead to 4 games back, all of my 07 teams have a losing record for last week, every single one of them! :x :x :x

I sure hope this week will be better :roll: :(

Looks like it will be myself, Beach, geekor & JKolak in the playoffs ... playoff matchups have not been fully determined, but it is most likely going to be geekor vs. Beach while I face off against JKolak.
