If I were you, I'd shift gears. Bring in MORE pitching and defense, and balance out the hitters. There are 3 other teams in your div., doing basically the same as you and your team is not as strong.

I'd take a look at Gorman Thomas, Frank McCormick, Del Rice, if they're available. If Ernie Banks is available he would be fabulous, too. I know it's sacrilege against the Say Hey, but Banks would give you serious fire power for a lot less money.
