QK is 6-0 versus me with 2 one run wins and one win in extras. I did get a my first one run victory last night.

I came within an eyelash of naming this squad the durham bulls.

18 games in and I have had a whopping 58 at bats vs lefties.I am looking forward to getting away from my division mates for a while so maybe Burrell, and Aurilia can get a few starts in finally(Ross would like to see a couple as well) :)

12-6 with ZERO dingers from either Hafner or Thome in 138 combined PAs.

I think the odds against those rolls are pretty substantial...looking fwd to seeing what this team can do when they start hitting...

All I know is that I didn't think I'd have the second worst record in the league

Shoot..... who would have thought that my best players now are afterthoughts Nomar... Uggla.... Blake...... and Byrnes.

Sheesh...... Howard and Helms sucking it up right now. :x Not even sure how I am 9 and 9 except some good pitching from a couple of starters. :!: :!:

KD, I think it's really hard in this format (when starting fresh) to get the right balance of competing for now vs. building for the future, ergo my team name (Carpe Diem Conundrums). One or two picks can really tip the balance on a team.

Over time it should even out, but my sense is that we will see very few teams compete well this season (meaning 92+ wins), a reversal next season with again very few (3-4 teams) being really competitive but likely they will be different teams from those that competed this year, and then we'll get a little more balanced out with the standard 6-8 teams out of 12 in the hunt for good portions of the season in subsequent years.
