Great to have you Novie and Major, thanks for joining.

Novie, I will check with Penn and use whatever draft order is most fair, and I will take your suggestion to have 12 rounds (in no particular order)as follows
C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, LF, CF, RF, DH/Stadium, SP, RP, WC.

Ratio.... Whatever way Penn has it set will need to be used... I would just check it first... the order COULD have been changed.

On the suggestion, I was saying make WC an option for the last two rounds ONLY. That way if the #1 picker in 11 AND 12 don't want to use either DH or Stadium he can always make it a WC. The other positions are all solid and make complete and fair sense.

Thanks for the clarification. I am using Penngyay's site and have inputted all the users except Frank Bailey. Frank, do you have a user name on his site? Unfortunately, the Gainesville Canucks are busy this season and won't be competing.

C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, LF, CF, RF, SP, RP, WC, WC.

Any other suggestions of course welcome.

I have done this a few times and a couple of questions come to mind? In what order is each manager picking? It seems that 1st and 2nd round is fairly easy as you would keep it serpentine but after that it gets kind of convoluted to keep things fair. I guess the question is who drafts 1st in round 3, 4,5 etc. and maybe more importantly in what order are the managers drafting in each of those rounds?

Does the 2 wildcards have to be used for stadium and dh or can they be used for additional starting or relief pitching?

I like the format and would be interested depending on the answers to these questions.

Since this is a 12 round draft, each owner will select in each spot once. We will use the order as it exists on Penngray's draft site. I don't know exactly what that is until I enter 12 owners, but I know the order has been adjusted based on experiences with this format to make it as "fair" as possible to all concerned.

As far as the WC rounds, whoever selects first can use the WC to select whatever they want. It can be DH or Stadium, or it can be another round of SP, for example. In this draft format's original incarnations, the owner picking first in the 12th round had to pick stadium (because stadium is always the last thing left) and evidently that caused some complaining. To be clear, if the first round is for CF, and you have the first pick in the second round, you can declare it a WC round and choose another CF, if you wish. My guess is that the first owner to use WC will choose DH, and the second owner will choose SP or RP.

I hope that answers your questions.

I was unaware of Penn having this format in his draft area and I'm sure he has it set up as fair as possible. I agree with the wildcard rounds as I also was afraid it must be a stadium for the 12th pick and did think that was unfair. Would there be unique stadiums then? We could always draft a stadium in addition to the wildcard in round 12 and if penn's site doesn't allow it just declare it here or in the individual league chat area. Gives the person with the last 1st pick the advantage of getting a stadium also. Anyway count me in if you'll have me.
