[from uncle's post in the atg forum]
i'm going to the bucks-knicks game tonight (12/30). will be back around 11pm cdt.

for my first live draft this is ok but seems kind of slow. i would imagine a real time live draft is a blast. please let me know if there are any openings in any leagues utilizing a live real time draft. i'd love to try it.

also, when do we create our atgii team on tsn site? how does the auto draft work for the balance of the draft?

thanks

****Uncle, if you think this is slow, all I can say is you should have been here before Penn's site. I was part of the second atg "live" draft (some of the people in this draft participated also) and people's tempers were so frayed at the end that there are owners who refuse to speak to each other to this day as a result. Live event drafts are rare birds. However, it sounds as if you live in NY, and I know TSN hosted such a live event once or maybe even twice, so just keep checking the boards - you never know. Maybe the Vegas trip might have something for you. And if you have a big enough living room....

As for the autodraft, HAL will only assign you a player who is not on someone else's draft card. So the only way someone ends up with a player you drafted is if they put him on their draft card higher than you listed him, which I don't think will happen. After your core 12 are picked, the rest of your team is up to you (and HAL).

And while live drafts have sometimes left me puzzled during excruciating delays, I actually enjoy the draft more than the season, so it's not such a big deal to me.

I also enjoy the live draft portions and seeing a team come together. I was very torn about skipping Honus and may come to regret it later.

Any ideas from Kodak on round 4 position?

Now if we could get SteveAmes and then Novie to announce we could knock out a few rounds today.

Happy New Year to all. Since it looks like we are at a halt for the year I'm checking out and will catch everyone later. I've left enough proxies to get us through this selection but thats all.
