In your park and considering defense, ARam is the 9th best choice (overall, not including "bargains"), just so you know.

Keep Boone, look for a Burroughs type at 3B, get rid of all that dead weight (nobody cheaper than Saenz for a platoon? Merloni? Blum? Gomez?) and upgrade Reuter, Castillo, and Crisp.) You need a platoon for Giles, too.

That's the short answer. If it was me I'd have a lot of changes to make.

Who are the best hitters available? See, because I don't think you need Mahay AND Shields, with all this money you save you could probably acquire a stud.
