What about Thome as DH vs.RHP at Coors and Perez vs. LHP.The rest of my lineup:
1B-Konerko
2B-Cano/Biggio
3B-Zimmerman
SS-M.Young
LF-Bay
CF-Taveras/Griffey
RF-Francouer
C-Bard
I know how to make a line up I just don't know if I can win with Thome/Perez DH combo.I NEED HELP FAST SEASON STARTS TODAY!I WAS THINKING OF CUTTING THOME FOR FRANK THOMAS/MATSUI/BURRELL.CAN ANYONE HELP FAST!

I love Thome, I even use him in Shea and he hits over 40 Hr's. He absolutely kills RHP, something you will always see more of. I have never platooned him though.

Thome/nor platooned

Thanks for your advice! But I do not understand why you would not platoon him.He can not hit LHP at all. That is why I was leery of him.Especially for almost 9 million.

9 million is a lot of $ to sit on the bench for 1/3 of your games (vs. LHP). His on-base isn't terrible against lefties. Just push him down the order. Then late in the game he'll blast one out of the park against the righty reliever.

what they said.

I usually end up batting him 7-9th, eventually the LHP has to leave the game then I have a killer hitter already there. If you are in a hitters park even better, he still has a decent number of BP Hr's.

not that you can't platoon him, but I've found HAL's use of platoons disturbing to say the least. IMO, platoon only when necessary.

btw, Cano still has a ton of hits vs lefties, and Biggio is atrocious in the field, I hope that isn't a platoon. Also both Tav and Grif are better vs R, I'm not sure what kind of platoon that makes either.

plattons

I put Thome 8th against LHP and traded Cano and Griffey for Freel and Kielty.I will use Freel at 2b and platoon Kielty and Taveras with Francouer playing CF and RF.I appreciate all the help. What do you think of the move I made?
Thanks,
Richard

I regularly use a Thome/Perez platoon at 1B. In pitchers' parks and/or vs. reverse lefties I leave Thome in.

I'd much rather have Berkman but he's much harder to get. Thome does have one of the top cards vs. RHP though (get a good backup...)
