Line-up help: Gwynn/Bando vs Rose/Barfield

Line-up help: Gwynn/Bando vs Rose/Barfield

What is the better combo? Gwynn/Bando or Rose/Barfield?

1- T Gwynn (RF)/or P Rose (3B)
2- R Yount SS
3- R Hornsby 2B
4- D Snider
5- R York
6- C Yastremski
7- S Bando 3b/or J Barfield RF
8- M Cochrane

It's a $200m league/no dh. Mostly hitters parks.

Gwynn vs Rose- both have comparable OBP. Gwynn hits for a higher avg. & can steal. Rose hits twice as many doubles. Power & Rbi's are a wash.

Gwynn vs Barfield- Gwynn hits for a higher avg & OBP is higher. Barfield has more power/steals/ & has a better arm.

Bando vs Rose- Rose has higher avg/OBP. Bando has more power/more range as a fielder.

Am I better starting Gwynn/Bando or Rose/Barfield? (I'm leaning toward Gwynn/Bando & having Barfield come in for late inning defense.)

I like Gwynn and Bando. Rose is a great value but Gwynn will outhit him for average and OBP. And I think Bando will out perform Barfield in offense 90% of the time.

Platoon Gwynn and Barfield in RF. I'd always start bando at 3B unless you're in an extreme pitcher's park. Nice hitting, by the way. What's your pitching look like?

P.S. Hope that's not your batting order.

I'd go

vs. RHP
Gwynn
Yaz
Hornsby
Snider
Yount
York
Cochrane
Bando

vs. LHP
Cochrane
Yount
Snider
Hornsby
Yaz
York
Bando
Barfield

Pitching

I will try your lineup suggestion. I always seem to be able to get the players I want, but I always seem to have a problem putting together an effective lineup. Here's the pitching. I'm looking to trade a lefty closer for another righty.

SP S Koufax
SP R Clemens
SP T Seaver
SP J Koosman
SP B Gibson (also RP)
SP S Carlton
SP G Chalmers (also RP)

RP B Henry
RP J Orosco
RP T Martinez
RP A Worthington
RP D Hall
