basic nightmare

basic nightmare

Postby Rob55 » Sun Jan 08, 2006 12:18 pm

that you read about on the board. Usually its a nightmare division...this time the whole league is a nightmare... BUT... I did get some satisfaction out of my finish..

The Players ... nevdully - Charlie - PBTR - OT - Munich_Man - Trey - tkl33 - petrosian - Rob55 - PJ Axelson - Ed Bazo - Frank Bailey (not in divisonal order)

the final damage

East
89-73
77-85
75-87
73-89

Central
86-76
78-84
74-88
71-91

West
101-61
90-72
80-82
78-84

Only the 4 playoff teams are over 500. Anyone like to hazard a guess as to what names go with what records? :D

No way to tell with that group ! All could be in 1st or in last in that league .

My team sucked. :D

Did get a killer Cepeda stat line, though, in Sportsman's '46:

670 ab
113 runs
31 doubles
53 homers
187 rbis
.319 ba
.615 sp
.356 obp

My favorite players come and go in waves, and have included some oddities (like Pete Rose), but currently Orlando is about as high on my favorites list as any. Give him a try, you'll be glad you did! :D

the league was Nev's Nightmare League.... and for the one or two people intersted .... here it is

East
89-73 -----PBTR
77-85 -----Frank
75-87 -----OT
73-89 -----PJ

Central
86-76 ----Ed Bazo
78-84 ----Charlie
74-88 ----petrosian
71-91 ----trey

West
101-61 ---tkl33
90-72 ----nevdully
80-82 ----Rob55
78-84 ----Munich_Man

I know I was under 500....and 3rd in my division, but am pleased I was actually 5th overall in the league from the toughest division (in this league --most wins were in the west)

An extremely difficult league that netted MM one of his very few 4th place finishes by being swept on the final night.... a BIG congrats goes to the playoffs managers....VERY well done gents and good luck in the playoffs.

My 2nd, to be exact. :D

What a great league. Sure do love the competition. Both Rob & I would have been in 2nd in any other division.

Now everyone go sign up for the Barnstormers! (if you haven't already).

Not hard to figure why I stunk up the joint in Tiger 68, a HR park:

Agee, T. R CF 1(-3)e6 614 74 23 28 96 59 9 5 .236 .430 .303 E 4.78M
Jackson, R. L RF 2(-5)e10 630 90 32 29 89 54 6 11 .264 .459 .328 2R 7.83M
Selkirk, G. L LF 2(0)e4 581 113 18 30 64 114 4 3 .257 .460 .382 1R 7.31M

I paid $20M for that?
