I like what's being planned for SF, but not for Det. I think the minimum number of moves out to be used to get under 60mil. There is a lot of redundancy on all rosters, wasted resources. I don't think the cut down should be used to make that waste more efficient. Again, those under 60mil don't have that advantage. What Riojadave is doing should be the model for cut downs.

toshiro,

1 - You said yourself that if you use only 0.50 players that would be cool

2 - I don't like to way the teams were selected. Have a draft or else cut the late commers some slack. These teams are all very shallow to begin with. You cut out the best player on the team and it's a death sentence...why bother playing ? If you want this to be competitive then common sense needs to prevail. No one is cherry picking stars. If TSN allowed it, I'd just play with 22 players but I have to have 25. Fact is I'm still going to play as if I had 22.

3 - End of the day the CORE 99% of the team is the original franchise

4 - There are teams with 17 players.....why can they make 3 or 4 drops ? Because they picked first....see # 2 above

5 - SF did NOT have to cut Marical. They have 16 hitters... If it were me, I'd cut the Dietz $4.74 + 1 more hitter to get to 14 hitters and be half way home to $60 mil w/o picking up anyone...then make 1 more add/drop.

You know well enough that playing w/o Marical on that team as it stands is throwing $25 away.

Yes, I agree.
Toshiro, we need to be flexible for this to work.

Red Sox are drafted and ready to load. I had to draft (2) .5 Baltimore players to fill out my draft card. I vote to allow teams that have a need to add up to (2-3) players under 1 mil to complete their teams. J Law

You guys really suck. Can I pick up a 8-10 mil donkey? That might help my reduce desire to snip at you guys. My team would still be 99% Chisox.

I don't see much advantage if 0.50 mil free agents are chosen for teams like Detroit. So, unless a 0.50 mil player is used as a starter, I don't have a problem with it.

Is anyone planning to draft free agents that will start or platoon?

On the other hand, if teams like Detroit get to sign free agents in the 0.5 to 0.99 range, then I want a piece of that pie. Except, as I said before, the Cubs who signed up thinking they would get a 0.99 mil catcher and starting pitcher.

I'm holding my own standards to 0.50 players ONLY to keep the spirit of this thing alive while being competitive.

toshiro, you chose CHW.......take Atlanta instead.

Atlanta is approx 7 mil over w/ only 9 pitchers.

1 - drop T.Aaron who can't play in a no DH league
2 - drop any 2 of G.Stone, T.Britton, or Carty and pick up 2 0.50 guys
2 - pick up the allowed 10th pitcher.

Simple.
