[quote:ae7537c6b6="toshiro"]Um, not simple. I'll dictate to you what you should do and you'll do that. How about it?

You guys wouldn't know what a COMPROMISE is if it hit you square in the face.

Just let me take an $8 mil guy and we'll call it even.
[/quote:ae7537c6b6]

Everybody please calm down!

Toshiro, please try to keep your comments constructive and impersonal. If you are having such a problem, feel free to pull out. I'm sure we can get another team.

The consensus seems to be that we can add players to make rosters work.
The question remains does a team like SF have to cut the minimum # of players (in this case Marichal only) to get under the cap or can they be more creative and cut several players to get under the cap.

Sorry, Jett. A little tired of getting bullied. No one seems to be wanting to come half way on things. I'll consider your offer of pulling out.

As things stand, Detroit will comprise of 88% Detroit players. That's not how I interpret what Pelzer had in mind.

I still haven't heard boo regarding my offer to add an 8-10 mil guy to my team and call everything even. Again, I'll have "99% of my core still White Sox." Jett, Pacoboy?

Got no problem with that but you should have asked up front for people to vote....you'd have had my vote....but now we're filling the league.

I'm just trying to be competitive after having the 10th pick in a NON draft.

Fact is you started a vote for sub $1 mil players and I agreed with you on only $0.50 guys.

The league founder is AWOL and jetblack took charge...let's agree to let me do his job.

Done arguing about this one because we'll never agree I think.

Just set the rules and send me the PW and I'll comply

When I drafted I had to take a couple .5 mil guys just to complete the draft. I will release one. My vote would be to let a team take one or two .5 mil guys who can not be a factor.

The Reds should not have to keep Pat Corrales who had 72 ab's for 3.11 Mil ($43,000 per AB!) and have to release Jim Maloney or Alex Johnson just because Corrales is the only other Catcher on the roster. This is a better representation of the 1969 Reds.

Any .5 Mil pick-up should be strictly back-up. Never a starter, platoon, Pinch Hitter or Pinch Runner, etc. The manager should have to select the "limit use" buttons on the players or "Use in Blow Out" button on pitchers to insure that they are only used as a last resort. It is like calling up a minor league player.

Toshiro, no way you get to add a player over 1 Million.
Be serious, please. The intention is to allow teams to fill rosters.
Let's agree to make all pickups .50M players and end it there.
I agree, the Reds should be allowed to cut Corrales and p/u a .5M catcher. The Pirates can cut Taylor to p/u a .5M player to keep Stargell.
And on and on...

Who's being BULLIED ? I'm not telling you what you HAVE TO DO. I only made a suggestion. However, on the other hand I'm being told I MUST cut this guy and I CAN NOT do this.

....after voting to allow 0.50 players.

I'm the one being Targeted here.

I'd have no problem at all bringing all teams up to $60 mil w/ FA's.

ZERO Problem.

Just dont' tell me or BULLY me on how I MUST make my cuts.

Let's get the facts straight.

If we voted NOT to allow any unnecessary players then I'd have picked a diff team...but we didn't. I'll comply to whatever we all decide on.

Ok, Pelzer has abandoned us :(

I will make the following rules in his absence:

1. All pickups to be .5M
2. Pickups limited to players from teams not picked.
3. Pickups to be used to fill in spots required by SOM (2nd C, 5th starter, etc.) AND at manager's discretion to get roster under 60M.

If a manager needs 10 to do this, they can have 10 .5M players. I seriously doubt the one who does this will benefit from it.

Let's stop the sniping each other.
Anyone doesn't agree should move on.

ps...for all those out there that think it's getting personal.

Tom (toshiro) and I know each other for years. Many battle scars along the way. He's just sore with me cause I usually kick is *** in these leagues :P ....well, maybe it's even

It's all good at the end of the day. I know drafting a team $11 mil under the cap sucks. Was not trying to TELL you what to do but only make a suggestion.

Let's not make jett's job harder than it is.

I'll be quite now :!:

When I first signed up for the league, and took the Giants, I was thinking that the idea was to have the team as close to the original as possible. And that the only no roster guys would be to me the min. requirements.

In my case I did the some figuring, and decided that the best way to stay under 60m without having to go to FA was to drop Juan. (I don't pretend to be very good, but he plays every forth game. And in the 60m leagues I've been en, 11m is a lot for a pitcher. So I figured, drop him and I have all Giants with some change I can't spend)

I've said it before, I think that each manager should post his desired roster. If there is a consensus that the spirit of the league is being bypass then it should be rejected.

BTW we have to play in our teams stadiums, right.
