This discussion has actually caused me to engage in a certain amount of introspection on the subject of my numerous theme teams. I must confess, they often do not do very well. Using a restrictive pool of players limits your options. However, I honestly do try to do the best that I can within the parameters of the theme to field the best team that I can, and I play the season to the bitter end, putting out the best team I can, and trying to win. A few of my theme teams have done very well. I did win a championship with the Herd! on the third try, and my Hands of Stone team made the finals. Many have finished at least .500 or better. My criminals and miscreants theme team lost in the finals. [Can't say that it broke my heart.] Anyway, I know that there are people on here that take this all very seriously, and it may perturb some if it appears that I am not, but for what it is worth, if my teams do prove to be mediocre, rest assured that they will be as relentlessly and equally mediocre for everyone to beat on, equally, from day and game one right up to the bitter end. so help me HAL.
