I having trouble on what I should do with this team that starts today.

http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/stratomatic/atg2/team/team_other.html?user_id=100226

I could keep things as is, or I could drop Yount for Honus, and use that money to upgrade, say Derringer to Garcia or the like, or Tebbets to Cochrane? Any ideas? Thanks!!

btw how would you ba tthese guys? right now I have:

1. Gehringer, Charlie (L) 2B
2. Rolfe, Red (L) 3B
3. Simmons, Al (R) LF
4. Yount, Robin (R) SS
5. Mays, Willie (R) CF
6. Jackson, Reggie (L) RF
7. Luderus, Fred (L) 1B
8. Tebbetts, Birdie (R) C

I would keep Yount.

It would seem Reggie Jackson is a candiate for downgrade, plenty of options in RF. If I read it correct, Clemente is out there, so is the Can.

yea I actually had Clemente originally, but upgraded him to Jackson because I wanted some LH power.... should I downgrade him back? If so should I upgrade pitching or catcher?

You have a good core (Mays, Yount, Rolfe, G-Man, Simmons) now is when you need to evaluate the competition and see what will win you games. Jackson would be a good complement, but he is much more effective in a hiiters park, not sure he would give you much more than Clemente. OTOH, if teams are loaed up with hard RHs, some LH punch would be good, but I would look for options other than Reggie.

Not sure what Birdie does for you, I would look at Dempsey, Schalk or Gibson.

Speer/Rom is a good value 4th SP, but then you need a big hammer as #1. Rogers it would seem is the candidate for upgrade.

Best of luck, sschu

Definitely keep Yount, even when Wagner's available!

I'd recommend swapping out Jackson for Keller (for LF, moving Simmons to RF), putting him in the #1 or 2 slot, and moving Rolfe down in the order. He's a bad #2 hitter because of all his DPs, but in the right spot he can record a ton of RBIs.

Otherwise Haas is always a decent, if not sexy, pick to save money, get nice D range and have some pop for pitcher's parks. Maybe then you could upgrade Luderus to R.Collins? Just a thought.

Definiely agree with those who think Tebbetts has to go. Would rather have Gibson, Dempsey, Grote or Crandall in that range.

Not to pile on, but if you get Yount, you should always keep him!
