Road to 1,000 Leagues...Status for all 4 Leagues.....

Postby B.o.b.b.y... » Sun Mar 30, 2008 4:24 pm

The information for the 1st round:

1. ATG III....Version 2 price format....
2. 80M, no dh, advanced, waivers following an autodraft, and 20% penalty for drops...
3. Stadiums are not unique
4. Commissioner sets the League to be called: "Road to 1,000 LGs"- LG #1 or 2 or 3 or 4
5. Commissioner must PASSWORD PROTECT and forward to East managers for loading then last in the East will forward to Central managers then last in the Central will forward to West managers
6. The Champions Round will be made up from the following 12 participants...

a. League Champions----4
b. League Finalists----4
c. Next 4 best records from all leagues combine....I will take the best 4 records and the tie breakers will be decided as follows:
i. runs differential---runs scored less runs allowed and if a tie then
ii. Pick Three Lottery--highest to lowest

NOTE: It is possible although unlikely that a non playoff team within a league could make it to the Champions Round if he/she qualifies to be within the next 4 best records. So it is important to win as many games as you can....

I will assign the leagues this week and like the Good People Tournament I will need a commissioner for each league. I will take care of the league which I'm in so there is need for 3 commissioners in the other leagues. Since there are 4 leagues then this event will cover one round for everyone to participate in and then a Champions Round. The Champions Round will be made up from the following 12 participants...

And to think that I only live 90 minutes from Cooperstown. Used to bring my boat to Glimmerglass Lake, the southern end of which is less than a mile from the Hall; at least I did until milfoil overran the lake

Petro, my wife and I love visiting Cooperstown. Every 2 or 3 years, we drive over from NH (about a 4 1/2 hour drive for us) and spend two days and a night there, just soaking up the atmosphere and taking our time at the HOF. Last time we went was on our anniversary a couple of years ago. (I have a great wife, who was EXCITED to spend our anniversary basking in all things baseball). :) However, if you don't want to be humbled, DON'T try the speed gun on your 50 year old (+) throwing arm. I think I could only toss it about 46 mph, or something like that. Some 14 year old kid who went just before me had a faster reading that I did.
