Overpriced 86ers

I think that Raines is overpriced for what he's done for me. (I have to believe that it's just bad luck, because his card is too good.)

Does anybody have Welch in a league where is ERA is under 5? I have him in two leagues and his WHIP and ERA are the worst on the staff.

I have Bob Welch in a league where he is 6-1, with a league leading 1.22 ERA, and .86 WHIP. Only 66.1 innings though.

I must add a few to the overpriced list...and I hate to do this...'cause I really love the guy as a Cubs fan...but...Ryne Sandberg. I have him on 4 teams and he's hitting over .250 in just one and we're half way through. Must add the following:

I love Strat and have been playing one version or the other for over 27 years now! It's great to have a venue like this where I can tinker every team to my hearts content! By the way...I always go pitching then defense when deciding on my players usually taking guys that are more balanced than better vs. one or other. Tried making one team loaded with hitters in a hitters park and used budget starters and got killed! I thought my offense could overcome any lead the pitchers would give up...bad move I guess....don't know how to send the url through here...any help?[/url]

I have to agree on Ryno. I have some bad numbers on multiple teams. Pete O'Brien is very good on every team I've used him. Tom Hume is a bargain in relief. I have a bomber squad with no pitchers to speak of doing well. All Star defensive infield probably helps.

I told one guy the he would rock. Robin Yount is pathetic. The worst player of the 7 teams I have. Dropped him on 1 team and looking to drop him on the other two teams he is on. The guy just plain stinks like road kill. :roll:

No disapointments but 2 standouts in Deleon and Woodward. Woodward is the best .50 player I have seen. Against righties he only gives up a walk on one 7 roll. All outs otherwise.

I have also had good luck with Bryant and Porter as one way players against rigthies.

I think Johnny Ray is over priced. He is below average at a very important defensive position, and he is not hitting for me at all after over 120 games. Has anyone had good offensive numbers for Ray?
