... and surprised at the pace we've set. I now probably have the finest defensive infield I've ever put together (2s at the corners and 1s up the middle), but no outfielders, no closer, one starting pitcher and not a lot of power.

Avengers is a perfectly usable name as far as I'm concerned; I think the only note was having it Marvel-related. (Howard the Duck had one issue where he was dressed up as Iron Duck to battle Dr. Bong, so that would really be a reach.)

Nice job getting through 41 picks today. If we keep up this pace, we should be able to get this done in about 5 more days. (I imagine we'll slow down over the weekend.) Pjredsoxfan held us up for a while, but he indicated to me he was traveling to Tim Russert's memorial service and his proxies had run out. Through some Blackberry magic we kept him in the game.

The Marvel-related team name is, of course, completely optional. For a while I was toying with taking Bonds just so I could name a team the Ya-Yas managed by Y.A. Tittle and see how badly I could make HAL mangle the box score reports. I'll have to come up with something else instead.
