Nice seasons from McCaskill, Gullickson, Henke, Black (1, 2, 4, and 5 in Cy Young voting) and great contributions from Puckett, Carter and Fernandez.

Nice work! It is hard as heck to win 90 games now a days, let alone well over 100 games. You must have done a lot of things right, and had some good luck to boot! I have Tony Fernandez on a team that won 88 games and we are one win away from the Championship. I hope I can get there, and good luck to you, as well!

Joe Carter had a monster year for you! 122 RBI, 15 TRIPLES!! I used to see him play at least 10 times a year, every year he was an Indian. Did you win your Championship?

The team did win the Championship. :D 8-)

It did take them 7 games, which was more of a struggle than it should have been, based on the team's sheer domination throughout the regular season. But I have noticed this is often the case with teams that win more than 100 games during the season, and I feel quite lucky that they actually won the championship. Usually, these teams seem to lose in the first round to the wild cards. So it goes in Strat.

Carter was hitting out of his skin at time during the season, as was Puckett early on. I used platoons strategically, which worked a charm. Sometimes they don't. In this case, with the makeup of my division and the league in general, it was an easy thing to put into place.

But I personally think it was my pitching staff that won the day here. They pitched well over their heads, most of 'em, but particularly check out Langston's stat line- a $1.66 pitcher giving the team all that is outstanding. Chuck Finley and Bud Black outpitching the likes of Garber was pretty special, too. Double-digit wins for 7 out of the 11 on the pitching staff speaks pretty much to the total team effort it was.

Did you win your Championship? I hope so.

:D

I just won the final semi game last night. The Championship starts tonight or tomorrow I think! I am glad you won with all those regular season victories!

Best of luck in the Finals. Post a link to your team when you have a moment.

Cheers,
