RUFF ROOKIE SEASON PLAYER SEEKS ADVICE

I just finished my rookie season in strat baseball playing in all time greats lge. i didn't go in with a plan, but am very competitive.i was humbled by the game. i was terrible. i started with 80 mil and by season's end my team value was 50 mil. i tried my mind crazy to make things work but nothing did. i do want to play again, but thought i would seek advice from you experienced players about playeres and strategy and how to win. i plan on playing the atg game again cause i can't get this terrible season off my mind. please advise if possible.
