While everyone is reminiscing about Grand Rapids,Detroit,and Michigan, have any of you guys ever been to the Palace of Auburn Hills? I saw the ,"Grateful Dead" there several times. And I have also been to Pine Knob many times to see the "Dead" in the early 90s,and "Phish". I also have seen ,"Phish" in Grand Rapids.
My best friend as a kid is a political lobbyist in Grand Rapids. We used to play the old board game as kids. We never used ballparks(that is why I have trouble picking them). I have recently gotten him into a couple of these TSN leagues. Although his teams have struggled. I think between family and work he can not put in the time to be good. I know I am rambling on. As far as baseball parks go; I have only seen games at old Municipal Stadium, Progressive Field, and Wrigley. However I have been to almost all the old parks,and arenas in the East and Midwest for rock concerts(mostly the Dead and Phish).
Sorry for that rant. This has been by far the most fun I have ever had with any SOM league. Thanks to everyone involved! Let the games begin !! 8-)

Seen the Pistons play the Rockets at the Palace once and also went there for a fight card once....Wasn't Hearns but some other dude from that area that was pretty good, just can't remember his name.

Was it Hearns vs. Hagler in the 1980s maybe? I like the Palace. But it is way far north of Detroit. I guess that is good and bad. It is good because it is far from the big city crime, but bad because it is a long drive from Detroit. So is Pine Knob, which is a beautiful outdoor concert pavilion. Come to think of it I have spent a lot of time in Michigan because I have also been to Ann Arbor many times for concerts and the," Hash Bash"(almost 20 years ago).

No---It wasn't a Hearns fight. I am just drawing a blank on who the guy was...He was an up and coming fighter from the Detroit area and I think he was a light Heavyweight. This was probably around 89'-90.

I have been to MLB games at the following stadiums: Shea, Fenway, Tropicana Field, Fulton County, Turner Field, Astrodome, Camden Yards, Candlestick Park, Oakland Collesium. I enjoy incorporating in a baseball game to vacations when I can. 8-)

Nice list Randy. It made me think back and remember my list of ballparks:

1. County Stadium (first game in 1970)
2. Royals Stadium
3. Coors Field (maybe 50 times)
4. Bank One Ballpark (DBacks a few times)
5. Wrigley Field (saw Saturday double-header vs. the Rockies) and a couple other times
6. Metrodome
7. Safeco

That's it. Unfortunately, my family moved from Wisconsin to Idaho when I was 12. There's not a lot of major league baseball going on in Southern Idaho growing up! I was just lucky to get the boxscores in those days.

I didn't know you'd been to Camden...That is one of the places I want to go to....An old Army buddy of mine is a retired mail man in Cleveland and we have been talking about taking one of those Bus tours that visit like 7 or 8 stadiums in a week....I have actually retired once and like a dumb A@@ went back to work when asked to come back...But, I am only gonna give em' another year or so and I'll be gone for good...That is when we're gonna do the tour....Has anyone ever taken one of those tours??

I am so boring. I have only been to Fulton County Stadium and Turner Field, but I did see Aaron hit a homer..... I think it was 725. I was also at the famous game when Pascuel Perez drove around the Atlanta by pass so many times that he missed his start at the game.

I have not even been to see a Pro Football or Basketball game. I guess TV is too convenient.
