If Denorien really has dropped out, I'll take the San Fran franchise. Don't really like any of the choices that are left, though if that spot isn't open.

Actually, I think it will be hard to fill the league with the rules as they are and the choices left....IMHO...maybe not with the FA openings down the line...interesting idea 8)

Am thinking of joining this league - it looks interesting. How about this for a FREE AGENT option as I think this will balance out the large difference which will exist early on in the season:

The Free Agent draft each Saturday would consist of:

Teams in 9-12 in the standings = 3 free agents
Teams in 5-8 in the standings = 2 free agents
Teams in 1-4 in the standings = 1 free agent

I think that would result in much more balanced league overall.

Sounds like a logical plan. This would be coupled with the system of the lowest ranked team picking first, down to the team with the best record picking last, I assume?

Completely against the staggered rate of FA adds!! The penalty for having a better record is severe enough considering that the team w/ the best record will be adding FA's number 34-36... the top 33 will already be picked up.

This is too harsh, especially during the first couple weeks where the long term ramifications are much more important than a one week result.

If there were any staggering, then how about the final four to join get 3 FA adds, the first four that joined only get one, and the middle four get two. Is a way to even out the fact that people got to choose the team they preferred from the get go.
