Help me tweak the pen...

Help me tweak the pen...

Postby Palanion » Wed Feb 08, 2006 7:34 pm

The only weakness on this Forbes team is the Pen:

Taylor 20 IP, 3.10 era, 1.13 whip, 5 saves
McEnaney 38.2 IP, 6.05 era, 1.78 whip, 2 saves
Aguilera 23.2 IP, 4.95 era, 1.31 whip
Frock 40 IP, 4.95 era, 1.68 whip, 3 saves
Wilks 51 IP, 6.00 era, 1.41 whip...

Wilks is 15 of 19 in saves, (not originally my plan, HAL...), and so I want to shake things up for the pennant push (30 games left).

Thoughts on this:
dump Wilks and Frock (or McEnaney) for Sambito and Osinski, using the new nickel two-some as a two-headed closing monster to limit their chances to f#*% me...

Thanks folks!

What is your division like (park wise)??? Since all your games from here on out are division games, that becomes important.

I would not use Sambito ,I'd take Osinski over him . Here's my question . Why not use Tudor for Osinski instead of Frock . Your not using him anyways .

Yes, but he's 0-7, he's cost you quite a few games despite his high number of saves. Wilksie must go.

Thanks Rich... for the push.

I am dumping Wilks and Frock for Osinski and Sambito.

Osinski with be closer vs. RH
Sambito closer vs. LH
McEnaney setup vs. LH
Taylor setup vs. RH
Aguilera middle/long relief...

and the closer rating thing that HAL favors should reinforce this usage...

I think
