I have just started in a new league that has several high homer parks, I am in Huntington Grounds Hr 20-20, ha ha!! Bomber park mania, and in my division there are 9 of the 12 starting pitchers are left handed. That's right!! 3 on each team, Several more throughout the other divisions. I ask the veterans on the board: How would you combat this lefty overload??? I did the following: changed from Boog Powell to Rudy York at 1b. Switched to Ellis Valentine in RF, platooned with Ben Oglivie and Gary Roenicke in LF, kept Mel Ott in CF ( I missed all the great CF in the draft!!), and added Bruce Bochy as backup C. I had Andy Pafko and Sal Bando already on the team. The first page of games is done and I went 13-8, I am 17-10 now but won't play all these leftys until the midddle of the season and then close with 36 games against lefty mania!! I hope I get some rolls when these games come around. Do I have enough to slug those bad boy lefties around ??
