2 things stick out like a sore thumb to me . Crosetti and Greenberg . There's got to be another ss to choose from . Greenberg 's D is horrible , options here are even greater than at ss. A good LF is JoJo Moore,Jim Rice, Del Ennis ,just to name a few . You have options definately .

Rose:
Better range, better arm, much better BA, superb clutch.

Buford
Less DPs, better power (at least against righties)

All in all: they both underperform regularly.
Rarely does Rose hit his card, have had him many times.
Buford usually has a much lower BA than his card, but still seems to get on base enough, especially for the salary.

Neither is ideal 1 or 2 hitter, though Buford with his very low DPs, is a decent #2, just don't count on a .400 OBP.

Rose's defense in left does make some difference, hard to equate to actual run differential, seems to vary. Rose is an ideal 7 or 8 hitter if you have the guns before him.
