Yankee Stadium '56

Who would YOU prefer??

I would have to lose C. Keller for Flood to get the $ to (Upgrade?) from Mr. Ott to Mr. Stargell.
Is it worth it??

Thx for your thoughts!

Ott , for me , hardly ever lives up to his card . That being said , he is consistant and will drive in runs though . Pops gets hurt for possible 15 but can hit up a storm vs. RHP, he doesn't hit LHP well at all .

Neither. Stargell can carry a team and have awesome stats. But my teams with him just don't win. I loathe Ott. He always underperforms for me. Only player who rivals him in this is Cuyler.

I [i:d1c2ac26f0]like[/i:d1c2ac26f0] Ott. Check out what he's doing for me in Yankee 27, hitting leadoff.

Ott, M. L RF 2(-2)e4 591 147 32 35 104 137 5 3 .350 .602 .468 E 9.10M

I think an absolutely important point is being missed and that's to get Stargell you give up Keller for Flood. That to me is a hugh downgrade. Keller for me is a stud for the price and in this ballpark he can fill so many spots in the lineup. I use him at the top, or thereabouts.

I agree with Ott being an underperformer but if you have a cleanup hitter the combo of Ott and Keller will be a solid one.

Ott did pretty well for me on this YS '56 team, in an OF with Keller and Mantle(!) Alas, the prima donnas got swept in the semis.
