The first thing you need to do is monitor this board. When 12 owners are in, that night's state lottos will be posted here and you'll see your draft position.

Nothing you need to do until then, except reviewing the rosters of all the 1969 teams and deciding which one(s) you want to take on as you own.

Then the draft happens - you get one team.

The lower the team's salary totals are to the others teams drafted will tell you how MANY free agents you get to pick up.

The other owners will clue you in as we get going; that could be in one day - it could be in a few days. Hang tight for now.

wow, just looked over the managers list - pretty tough group here - should be one heckof a league - mucho strategy with not only pickin your team BUT pickin your salary (how many FA's do you want?)!!!! No wonder were having a tough time filling that LAST spot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How much to they get hurt with the format rules? They only have 13 hitters and 15 are needed for draft card. This would be their 2 FA picks but their players have a cap of $94,160,000 which of course is over 80 mil. Should cap be 100 mil instead?

My opinion is keep the cap at $80M. Baltimore is already loaded, so that would be the downside of taking them. If you bump it to $100M, the rich only get richer.

An $80 Million Cap should have the effect of leveling the playing field.

I think that the Orioles (for example) will be difficuly to manage due to their players. Mike Cuellar (for example) may be too expensive and the owner may have to downgrade him for a different free agent pitcher that costs less in order to keep the fierce lineup intact.

We'll stick with $80 mil. This theme allows for any franchise to win. I won a similar one with the Giants plus Aparicio and Don Wilson as key free agents so I know that you can be competitive if you fill the right holes.

i was looking at 69 teams. what do you do if the team you want has only 13 hitters and 9 pitchers? how would you fill out your drafdt card? also a team like the angels has 29 players, just pick 25 you want?

How about $.99m or less players from 1955-1975 teams not taken or $.50 players from other years of your franchise or something like that?
